Since I am on the whole “I am going to be healthy” thing. I am working out a lot. My guy is working out too. Our goal is to be healthier and be able to hike our vacation destinations and not be out of breath. Oh yeah…. and feel good enough to get up the next day.
My guy and I haven’t different views on music during workout. He does not listen to music at all. Me on the other hand, I love all kinds. Of course, it depends on the day, but normally I pull up my playlist and see what makes me pedal faster. Some days it is rap. Others it is rock or pop. But I really like to change it up and go “old school” rap too. Last night I was rocking out to Salt n’ Peppa. I forgot they were on my list. Can you believe that?!
The funny thing is that I wear earbuds and have those puppies turned up loud. I mean loud. The louder the music, the harder I pedal. 😉 The sad part of this story is that I sing most of my songs. So, you must picture me huffing it on my bicycle, in my living room. Sweat dripping from my eyelashes and nose (Why can’t I just glisten?). Then me singing, really off key, while being somewhat out of breath. Blah! Because you know that I have to sing loud enough to hear it just enough, through my earbuds, that it actually sounds good. 🙂 All I have to say is that he must really love me. Sometimes I look up, but with all the sweat, I usually take off my glasses so I have to squint, and see him on the elliptical, across the room, and he is just looking at me with this little smirk. He might even be giving me a little SMH (KB… do you see this?).
So, my playlist is very eclectic. I love it that way.
